
Assist Pharmacy Manager to train, coach, and manage Pharmacy associates. Supervise the work completed by Pharmacy Technicians and support staff while on duty. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling. Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs including appropriate immunization and when available MTM (Medication Therapy Management), DCS (Diabetes Care Specialist), and all ongoing other programs as identified. Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Advise members of the public and other health professionals about medicines (both prescription and over-the-counter medicines), including appropriate selection, dosage and drug interactions, potential side effects and therapeutic effects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: 1.Be involved in the management of pharmaceutical companies.Work in the research and development of medicines and other health-related products.Develop legally recognised standards, and advise on government controls and regulations concerning the manufacture and supply of medicines.Select, give advice on and supply non-prescription medicine, sickroom supplies and other products.Advise patients on how their medicines are to be taken or used in the safest and most effective way in the treatment of common ailments.Prepare or supervise the dispensing of medicines, ointments and tablets.It is also about promoting health awareness and contributing to the betterment of the community. But pharmacy is not just about filling prescriptions. At the pharmacy, a pharmacist oversees the fulfillment of medical prescriptions and is available to give advice on their offerings of over-the-counter drugs. Pharmacy also called "drugstore" is a retail shop which provides prescription drugs, among other products.
